Veterinarian
Dr Chris Gales
BSc, BVMS
Chris set up Belvoir Equine Hospital in 2001 after working solely in equine practice since graduating from Murdoch University.
His experience includes FEI veterinary work, racetrack practice and reproduction. He also runs Gervase Park Stud with his wife Andrea and has a strong connection to eventing through his family.
Living on the property that encompasses both Belvoir Equine Hospital and Gervase Park Stud, Chris continues to develop Belvoir as a high-performance and reproduction centre.
Equine Veterinarian
Dr Nicolas “Nico” Iovenitti
DVM
Originally from Argentina, Nico graduated as a veterinarian in 2015 and has international experience in equine reproduction.
Since 2018 he has worked in leading Australian equine regions including the Hunter Valley and Southern Highlands, as well as in Argentina, Sweden and France. His expertise includes embryo transfer, embryo and semen freezing, chilling and assessment, and neonatal care.
He also has an interest in lameness and diagnostic evaluation and joined Belvoir in September 2024.

Dr Kyle Lowery
BSc, BVSc, MRCVS
Kyle graduated from the Onderstepoort Faculty of Veterinary Science in 2010. He completed an internship in France and has worked with high-performance sport and racehorses in the UK, South Africa and Australia.
His main interests are racing and performance horses, with a particular focus on lameness and orthopaedic conditions. He is also an FEI 2* Official Veterinarian with extensive racetrack experience.

Fiona
Fiona first joined Belvoir in 2007. Her interests include reproduction, anaesthesia, foal intensive care and general patient care.
Nurse
Julia
Julia became an equine veterinary nurse in 2019 and joined Belvoir in 2021, bringing a lifelong background in horses and dressage.
Associate service
Russell Williams — Farrier
Russell works closely with Belvoir's veterinarians on corrective hoof care and shoeing, including laminitis, club feet, thin soles, upright conformation and foal conformation.
He is available for clients every Tuesday afternoon from 1pm to 3pm by appointment. Horses can be dropped off and yarded from 7am Tuesday morning.
