The clinic is well equipped to cater for the needs of our hospitalised patients; from our intensive care boxes, to our day yards for mares, foals and stallions. There are two treatment suites, in which diagnostic, reproductive and other treatment modalities are carried out.

To assist with patient management, we have an in-house laboratory, which enables our vets to carry out basic sample analysis. We also provide full medical and surgical facilities and cater for lameness examinations with purpose built trot-up and lunging areas.

Belvoir Equine Hospital is very much a small community, three of our vets (including our surgeon) live on site. Mares in for foaling down and intensive care cases requiring around the clock monitoring, are easily catered for with so many vets a stones throw from the yards and stables. Few vet clinics can offer this peace of mind to clients.

A lot of effort has gone into making Belvoir Equine Hospital not only a very functional facility, but also a very pleasant place to visit, drop in for a tour!

The car park is very large and allows clients the space to turn around without the need for tricky reversing. For those with difficult loaders or arriving with mare and foal on the float/truck – we have a purpose built, covered loading/unloading bay. This bay allows you to unload directly into a safe covered yard (handy for foals not yet halter broken) or to load a difficult or young horse with ease. Our trained staff can assist you by reversing your float into the bay (if you are finding it a bit tricky) and can help with loading/unloading horses. For anyone arriving with emergencies where the horse has difficulty walking (such as severe colic or laceration) it’s very easy to drive all the way up to the door, unloading right into the clinic doors or a safe box, for immediate assessment.
